The Zookeeper is an upcoming comedy movie directed by Frank Coraci and starring Kevin James (who had the lead role in Paul Blart Mall Cop) and Rosario Dawson. The story involves a bunch of zoo animals who break their silence to help a zoo keeper land the woman of his dreams. The film will be released on July 8, 2011.
The voice cast for the talking animals is quite impressive:
- Adam Sandler as a Capuchin monkey
- Sylvester Stallone as a lion
- Judd Apatow as an elephant
- Jon Favreau as a bear
- Cher as a lioness
Here below a first look at Kevin James as Griffin Keyes in the movie Zookeeper:

Plot:
"The animals at the zoo adore their caretaker Andrew (Kevin James), an amiable but lonely guy who's never quite fit in. Finding himself more comfortable with a lion than a lady, Andrew decides he should leave the zoo and get a life.
When the zoo animals discover his plan, they decide to break their code of silence and reveal their biggest secret: they can talk! Now they won't shut up and they're teaching Andrew nature's best mating rituals. To help him win the girl of his dreams (Rosario Dawson) and save their happy family, they're willing to do — or say — anything."
The premise of the film doesn't sound that much exciting, but Sony distribution president Rory Bruer is convinced the film has some potential:

"It’s got tremendous heart and soul. And talking animals? Gimme a break, it’s so funny!"

Early reviews from people who saw it praise the film saying that, the Zookeeper is a surprisingly great comedy movie. This may explains why The Zookeeper, has earned summer tentpole status: the release date of the Zookeeper movie has indeed been pushed back from Fall 2010 to Summer 2011 on July 8, 2011.
Impatient to see the movie trailer of the Zookeeper.
